Do you take my insurance?

We take most commercial insurance plans and some Medicaid.  To be sure we take your plan, give the office a call.

Is your office open on the weekends?

Yes.  We are open on Saturdays for sick visits only.  On Sundays, if there is an emergency, the doctor may want to see you in the office or may refer you to the Emergency Room but we do not have any regularly scheduled hours on Sundays.

How high of a fever is too high?

Fever is our friend!  To us, a fever starts at 100.4 degrees.  The higher it goes, the worse your child will feel.  That is the reason we give medication.  The fever is just one of the body's way of defending itself so it is not harmful.  If ever you are worried about your child's temperature, do not hesitate to call!

My child has green stool.  What should I do?

Stool can come in a variety of colors.  Most of the time green, yellow or brown is not a problem.  If you ever see blood in your child's stool, call the office for an appointment.

When can I start my child on solid foods?

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends exclusive breastfeeding (or formula) until your child is 6 months old.  At 6 months, solids may be introduced.
